Commonly Asked Questions and Answers

Here are some common questions folks may have concerning our organization.

Q: What does and investigation cost?

A: Absolutely nothing, We do not charge for our investigations or any other service we provide.

Q: How many people would be coming to my home/ place of business?

A: At the current moment there are five members of PISI, The size of the team depends on the size of the location. As we grow and our team grows the number of investigators at your location will be decided before the investigation date is set.

Q: Does your group have insurance to cover any damages?

A: A non-profit organization application has been submitted and will include insurance. As of this moment a contract signed by the founder of PISI is given to the client that states that PISI is responsible for all damages incurred during the investigation time are to be paid in full to replace by PISI.

Q: Is there some sort of meeting before an investigation is set up?

A: Absolutely, We understand that this is your home or place of business and you may feel uneasy about strangers being around. The PISI founder and lead investigator will set a date to meet prior to setting a date for an investigation. This enables us to meet the client, answer any questions he or she might have and get a chance to have a much more personal meeting to listen to possible claims and fears one might have. An investigation date is set up the day of the meeting so as to make the appointment when it would be most convenient to both parties.

Q: How long does the typical investigation last?

A: A typical investigation by PISI takes place for a duration of five to six hours, they are done at night as we used photosensitive equipment (ie. Infrared night vision). Though activity can occur during the course of the day the night makes it much easier to see possible transparent apparitions. It also controls the level of evidence corruption daylight can offer.

Q: Do you use psychics, mediums, seyonces or Ouija boards?

A: No, We do not use nor condone the use of such methods. Psychics and mediums are only circumstantial evidence (ie. our own personal experiences are dismissed often). We do not doubt the existence of those whom can see the future/ past and or commune with the deceased, we simply take a more scientific approach and feel that such methods are too open for skeptical debate. Ouija boards are specifically banned and prohibited from use, they only cause more trouble than they would solve.

Q: What happens to the evidence after the investigation?

A: First it is analyzed fully using computer programs to filter and enhance the image or audio, we then over a couple of weeks look for anything that could be paranormal. It then goes into a file at PISI that is kept for research purposes only. No one outside PISI is able to see the contents of which. A complete copy of the evidence is available upon request of the client.

Q: Is the investigation confidential?

A: Yes we will not use for public view any audio, photograph or video that the client specifically requests remain confidential. The facts of the case, such as names, addresses, contact information and case details will never be displayed or discussed outside of our organization.

Q: But I see locations mentioned on your home page, I thought they were confidential?

A: Those locations are noted historical locations we investigated and have given us permission to display the location name. All other information is kept stricktly confidential and isnt ever revealed to third parties.

Q: Do you provide exorcisms or any other removal service for unwanted spirits?

A: Yes and No, We do not preform exorcisms nor do we claim we can rid the home of unwanted spirits. We are there to investigated claims to provide disproof or proof of a haunting. We can offer some council and advise as well as reference to any religious organization of your preference or beliefs.

Q: Should we need to utilize your services again would you be open to another investigation even though the previous may not have yielded any results?

A: Yes our services are always available to our clients and our phones and Email are always open if you need further assistance.

Q: Is there any situation PISI would consider priority or an emergency warranting immediate attention?

A: Yes, We take all cases as seriously as possible but if a case where a child was being affected or even attacked, PISI will place that case at priority one and will tend to that case first.
